At present, domestic steel tubes in the machine tool bending forming process if without using a mandrel,its quality is difficult to guarantee.
There are many kinds of mandrel,such as pillar type mandrel;Universal single,double,three,four ends mandrel;directed single,multi-ball heads mandrel and so on.
In addition, the position of the mandrel has a certain influence on the tube bending:In theory, its tangent shall be parallel and level with the bending pipe die tangent.But after a large number of experiments prove that moves forward 1 ~ 2 mm is better,the bend could have perfect quality.Of course, you can not make too much moves,it will cause the phenomenon of the so-called "goose head" on the walls of the bending part.
