Development and Trends of Pipe Bending Machine
In the large-caliber and long-distance pipeline construction,the United States began to use the vertical hydraulic ( ie vertical ) bending machine which can bend pipes with thickness 152.4 ~ 762mm (6 ~ 30 inches) since the 1960s.After 1907s,the performance of cold bending machine was further improved.Meanwhile,bend tube was developed successfully and it supported the use of cold bending machine to bend large diameter thin-walled high-strength steel pipe for oil pipeline,the largest pipe diameter reached to 1524mm (60 inches). Former Soviet Union developed cold bending machine was from the beginning of the 1960s basically,the function is similar to the machine made by the United States.But because its host hydraulic system adopted horizontal structure, occupying a large flat space,so transport and on-site at the mercy had big difficulty.
Currently, there are nrarly 10 bending machine manufacturing plant in the world, they distribute in the United States, Canada,Germany and other developed countries.All the machine producted by these plants are vertical hydraulic,Tube type mainly has pneumatic and hydraulic type.The advantage of the pneumatic type is higher speed and prefabrication efficiency, but requires additional configuration of air compressor,and the system works not smoothly, difficult to control.With the aid of the whole machine hydraulic station,the hydraulic type has compact structure and hydraulic pressure drive stable and reliable,to ensure elliptical deformation does not occur in pipeline prefabricated process.
In addition,with the development of science and technology,pipe bending machine model has become increasingly diversified,bend performance are greatly improved.In particular the application of microcomputer, microcontroller, programmable controllers,AC servo systems and new hydraulic components and hydraulic technology,making the function of traditional bending machine more prefect,CNC pipe bender bender will replace the traditional to be main equipment of modern bend industry.
